Parents Who Host Lose the Most

"Parents Who Host Lose the Most" (PWH), is a public health media campaign designed by the Prevention Action Alliance to help prevent underage drinking in your own communities. It reinforces everyone’s responsibility to promote healthy choices in our community. Its key message reminds parents that it is unsafe, unhealthy, unacceptable—and, in most communities, illegal—to provide alcohol for underage youth. PWH decreases young people’s access to alcohol by reducing the number of parents willing to provide alcohol for young people. Over time, it reduces the likelihood teens will drink alcohol and suffer the health effects that come from underage drinking.
Since Its Creation...
  • has been used by hundreds of organizations in all 50 states and in Puerto Rico, Japan, Canada, and the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Neighborhood coalitions, regional collaboratives, police departments, and entire states have relied on Parents Who Host Lose The Most to address and prevent underage drinking
  • has been updated to reflect new technology, tools, and needs for communication in the digital age
