Tobacco Prevention Coalition

Finding new ways to educate Jay County about the harmful affects of tobacco use, while giving the community the resources and means to actually achieve their tobacco cessation goals.

Meet your Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Project Coordinator for Jay County:

Hello everyone! My name is Sydney Haines and I have only been with the Drug Prevention Coalition since September of 2019, but I have been a resident of Jay County for my entire life. This is where both myself and my husband grew up, so it is very near and dear to my heart. Because of my longstanding relationship with this county, I am passionate about bringing both education and solutions to the problem of tobacco use within it.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona with a Bachelors of Science and Human Services degree in Psychology. This educational background equips me with the resources to educate others about the affects that tobacco can have on your brain, and how that can, in turn, affect all areas of your life.

I look forward to meeting you soon, if I have not already. Please contact me directly if you have tobacco-related questions!
