VOICE is a statewide youth empowerment program intended to educate, engage, and empower teens to celebrate tobacco-free lifestyles. We complete service projects, social media campaigns, and attend statewide meet-ups to raise awareness for tobacco use, other drugs, and mental health issues. VOICE is about much more than being tobacco-free! While the main topic is tobacco, we have the freedom to discuss most anything you want to, in regards to health, health equity, mental health, or drug use! The goal of VOICE is to empower our youth to go make a change in our community -- whatever that change may be!
How can I get Involved With VOICE?
VOICE takes place during school hours, during the students' advisory period, making it most accessible and stress-free for them to join! If you, a class mate, or your child are interested in joining VOICE, all you have to do is come to a meeting and fill out a quick application. This application is no pressure and is just to collect contact info and a little info about you! It will also separate participants into the 'core team' or the 'action squad'. Most of our meetings will be in the morning during advisory period!
